Nature of maintenance: Ongoing Upgrade Excercise
Please be informed of an Ongoing Upgrade Exercise to a number of virtual server machines over the following 8 months until December 31, 2005. This exercise comprises upgrading the CPU, RAM and the hard disks to higher capacity. The maintenance period will cover approximately 4 hours for each machine.
The maintenance of specific virtual machines affected will be scheduled on this web page 2-4 days prior to the actual upgrade exercise. This ongoing maintenance exercise will be conducted over the 6 months. Customers are encouraged to check this page regularly.
During the maintenance window period, NO email will be lost. Customers will not be able to access the website or sending/receiving e-mails. However, all incoming e-mails will be spooled into our relay server and will be sent to the primary server once the server is up after the upgrade.

Implementation of Web.Manager for Windows 2000 virtual servers:
Please note that this notice affects only Windows 2000 virtual server customers and does not affect NT virtual server customers.
We are pleased to inform you of the implementation of a new web-based web and email management interface called Web.Manager for all our Windows 2000 virtual servers. Web.Manager allows you to create and modify POP accounts, configure email server settings, view on-line statistics & logs, change login password, view server configurations and settings, view current quota usage as well as manage your web-server files all from a single web application.

At the same time, another built-in web-based interface named MyEmail had also been implemented. MyEmail allows your email users to manage their individual account configurations such as Changing of Email Password, Vacation Message and Email Forwarding without the need for the web/email administrators interference.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: With the release of our new Web.Manager and MyEmail, we will no longer offer the use of Email.Manager for Windows 2000 virtual server customers, which is currently accessible by all Windows customers at http://YourDomain:81. The new built-in web-based interfaces are fully integrated with the email services offered by Email.Manager. Email.Manager for NT virtual servers will continue to be offered as usual.

Description of maintenance:
Our ATM network provider 1-Net will conduct a maintenance on the ATM wireline
connection between Webvisions and 1-Net on Sunday, 15th of September 2002,
between 12:00am and 06:00am Singapore time (GMT/UTC +0800). They will perform
an upgrade on their switches hardware. Services via this ATM link will be
disrupted for about 5-10 minutes doing the 6 hours window period.
Some of our links which will be affected by the maintenance exercise would be:
- SingNet (local & international)
- Pacific Internet (international only)
- 1-Net (local only)
- Qala (local only)
- Singapore Open Exchange (SOX) (local only)
During the maintenance, Internet traffic will be automatically re-routed to
our other available links (mainly SingTel-IX for international and Pacific
Internet for local). However, latency and delay during the maintenance period
is expected.

Description of maintenance:
Our Australia partner will conduct a network maintenance on their data center
facility in North Ryde, Sydney, Australia. They will be testing the Optus and
PowerTel links in the North Ryde facility to ensure fail over operation of
contingent links. Our Australia data center facility will be affected by this
maintenance exercise.
This work is being performed in order to ensure the Telco redundant
network into the North Ryde facility will switch as expected, without
human intervention and with the minimum amount of latency possible. No
outage is expected, however you may experience extended latency during
the test and time measurement phases.
This action is scheduled to occur at the scheduled maintenance window
between 05:00 a.m and 06:00 a.m. EST (Sydney time) or between 03:00hrs
and 04:00hrs SGT (Singapore time), on Sunday, September 15, 2002.

Nature of maintenance: Network maintenance.
Description of maintenance:
One of our transit providers, SingTel Internet Exchange (SingTel-IX) will
conduct a network maintenance on Monday, 9th of September 2002, at around
06:00hrs SGT (Singapore time). They will perform an IOS upgrade to one of
their access routers. Connectivity to some certain networks via SingTel-IX
transit might be interrupted for approximately 5 minutes when the router
reloads.

2 Sep 2002 / 0500hrs
Nature of maintenance: Network maintenance.
Description of maintenance:
We will be performing a maintenance on one of our core routers (webvicr02).
During the maintenance, we will power-cycle the router and conduct the
necessary checks to ensure that all parts/modules and configurations
are running properly. The maintenance process will take approximately
30 minutes. Intermittent downtime due to BGP and HSRP propagation period
is expected during the maintenance period.

31 Aug 2002 / 1100hrs
Nature of maintenance: Network maintenance.
Description of maintenance:
Our partner is US will be conducting a network maintenance on their network.
They will install another core router in addition to their existing core
routers, to increase network reliability and ensure better redundancy.
Affected servers: FAFNIR and FENRIR. The servers themselves will not be down,
but will lose connectivity to the network during the maintenance period.
They have schedule a 2-hour window maintenance on 30th August 2002, between
20:00hrs PST to 22:00hrs PST. That equals to Saturday, 31st August 2002,
between 11:00hrs and 13:00hrs Singapore time. Intermittent downtime to the
above-mentioned two servers is expected during the maintenance window period.

Nature of maintenance: Server maintenance.
Description of maintenance:
We will be performing a RAM (memory) upgrade to STYX, one of our Unix virtual
servers. We will be adding another 256MB so total it'll have 512MB of RAM.
We will need to shutdown and reboot the server. The maintenance process will
take approximately 30 minutes.
